HR Consultant Contract (remote)

About Us

Caged Bird HR®, a division of Worklution Inc., is the first HR services company to provide independent HR support directly to employees. We serve individuals across the U.S. who are seeking a safe, confidential space to receive objective, expert HR advice from seasoned professionals.

We are currently seeking experienced HR consultants to provide on-demand guidance to employees navigating complex workplace issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of employment law, HR policies, and best practices, and the ability to translate that knowledge into clear, actionable advice.

What You’ll Do

  • Offer expert, strategic HR support to employees facing:

    • Performance issues

    • Discipline or retaliation

    • Discrimination or harassment

    • Leave, benefits, or accommodations

    • Internal investigations

    • Termination or exit planning

  • Educate clients on their rights, policies, and next steps

  • Respond to client questions via email or scheduled calls

  • Deliver guidance that is clear, honest, and actionable

Who You Are

  • 3–5 years in roles like HR Generalist, HRBP, or Employee Relations

  • Strong understanding of U.S. employment law and HR best practices

  • Clear, compassionate communicator

  • Comfortable navigating sensitive conversations with discretion

  • Able to work independently and meet expectations without micromanagement

Compensation & Schedule

  • $30/hour (1099 contractor)

  • You choose your availability

  • Fully Remote work

  • We recommend weekday availability between 9:30 AM–2:30 PM ET to meet client demand.

  • Daily work not guaranteed; scheduled based on need

Performance Expectations

  • Maintain a client satisfaction rate of 90%+

  • Convert at least 25% of clients to extended services monthly

  • No more than 3 formal complaints

  • Avoid excessive cancellations or reschedules
