Eric Harvell
Eric Harvell is a seasoned financial executive with over 25 years of experience in the credit union and financial services industry. He currently serves as Chief Financial Officer at SCE Federal Credit Union, where he leads financial management, enterprise risk, asset-liability strategy, and loss prevention functions for a complex, multi-state institution. Throughout his career, Eric has built a reputation for driving strategic growth, strengthening financial performance, and modernizing organizational operations. Prior to his current role, he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at HealthCare Associates Credit Union and CommonWealth One Federal Credit Union, where he led initiatives in financial modeling, investment strategy, compliance, and enterprise risk management. His leadership has resulted in measurable outcomes, including improved investment portfolio performance, reduced operating expenses, and the implementation of forward-thinking strategic planning and business continuity programs. Eric began his career in accounting and went on to hold senior leadership roles at Allstate and Great Lakes Credit Union, where he developed expertise in liquidity management, financial forecasting, and operational efficiency. Known for his collaborative leadership style, he has consistently guided cross-functional teams and executive leadership groups in aligning financial strategy with organizational goals. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Northern Illinois University and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Austin Peay State University.
